Highlights

Located on the border of Tamilnadu and Kerala, Annamalai & Perambikulam are the forests (now tiger reserves) teeming with life. They are most popular for sightings of leopards, elephants and occasional sightings of tigers. These jungles are also home for sloth bear, sambars, Indian Gaurs, Many species of butterflies, reptiles, insects and hundreds of species of birds. Elephant camp in Annamalai offers opportunity to get friendly with tamed elephants. Though degraded, Valparai hills are famous for sightings of Lion Tailed Macaques, elephants, leopards and Gaurs in tea estates themselves. However inside Kerala’s boarders lies a superb thick rainforest and exploring it for entire is going to be the most awesome experience. 

Itinerary

1 Day 1: Perambikulum

Meet our tour guide and wildlife expert at Coimbtore at Annapurna Hotel, People's Park at 08.00 am, after breakfast proceed to Setumadai. Check in & relax. Watch for elephants, leopard, sloth bear and tiger on evening Safari in Perambikulam. Return to hotel for dinner & Rest. Stay at Perambikulum.

2 Day 2: Perambikulum

Early morning bird watching trail in top slip, get spot some exciting species such as the great pied hornbill. Post lunch evening ride in Perambikulam. Enjoy delicious dinner with some interative discussions on the day's sightings and rest. Overnight stay at Perambikulum.

3 Day 3:Valparai

Early morning check out and visit to Koligamti Elephant Camp in Annamalai. Post breakfast depart for Valparai. Lunch in Pollachi. Keep an eye n the Nilgiri Tahar and Lion tailed macaques in Valparai Ghat sections. Check in at resort. Evening visit to Soliyar dam. Dinner and rest.

4 Day 4: Visit to Athirapalli falls

Post bf departure to visit Athirapalli waterfall and Vazacchal rain forests with packed lunch. Late evening return to resort .

5 Day 5: Departure for Coimbatore

Morning bird watching trail in tea estate. Post lunch departure for Coimbtore. Arrival in Coibtore around 04:30 PM
