Anshi Herp Trail

Kali Tiger Reserve (also popularly known as Dandeli Anshi Tiger Reserve) is a naturally super rich huge patch of protected forest in Uttar Kannada district in Karnataka. It is a huge forest spread over 900 sq kms, through hills and valleys. It is home to many southern western ghats endemic species of amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and insects etc. During our stay in the tented camp site in the heart of the forest of Anshi, we have good opportunity to sight endemic species such as hump nosed pit viper, king cobra, olive forest snake, castoe`s coral snake etc. We will also visit Karwar beach to look for sea snakes.
