Highlights

Tadoba is the most popular tiger reserve in Maharashtra; it is unique – it has no notified core area, every corner is accessible. The beauty of the reserve, the abundance of animals and frequent sightings make Tadoba a memorable experience. Besides the fauna, Tadoba also homes a wide variety of tree species. Tadoba is so called because there is a temple by Tadoba Lake, dedicated to a local Gond eminence called Taru, who died fighting a tiger. Attraction: Royal Bengal Tiger, wild dogs, sloth bears, thick Teak forest and a beautiful lake. Flora and Fauna: The Park is open for most of the year but the best time to visit Tadoba is from Nov to May. The forest of Tadoba supports a variety of tree species, mammals – the main attraction being Royal Bengal Tiger, Sloth Bears, Gaurs, and Wild Dogs. There are also Cheetal herds, barking deer, Sambar, Chousingha and wild Boars.Tadoba is southern tropical dry deciduous forest of Deccan Peninsula; primarily teak forests along with Bamboo thickets. The major tree species are Mahua, Ain, Dhawda, Tendu and Jamun.

Reporting at 4.45 PM at Pune Station. Depart from Pune to Wardha by 12113 Pune Nagpur Garibrath Exp (3 AC) at 5:40 PM.

Arrive Wardha at 08:00 AM. Depart for Tadoba by AC vehicle. Breakfast Enroute Check in and have lunch. Evening Orientation trail in Tadoba. Stay at Tadoba.
